Facebook set to buy WhatsApp.

Facebook has become doubling down on it is mobile efforts but it would appear that it feels it would need to do more. TechCrunch is reporting that Facebook is in talks to acquire WhatsApp which is an extremely popular cross-platform paid out messaging service. The report contends that this is an impressive way pertaining to Facebook to capture more market share inside the mobile market and as WhatsApp is a paid service it can add another dimension to its business model.

More than 750 service providers have WhatsApp users spanning across several different mobile platforms like S40, Operating system, S60, iOS, Windows Mobile phone and BlackBerry. And now its scale of the app is unprecedented considering last 2011, WhatsApp claimed that 1 million messages were being sent featuring a service.
