Samsung Galaxy Camera with built-in 3G connection arrives in Australia.

THE photographic camera is finally firing rear at its smartphone rivals, with the first camera to have a built-in 3G internet interconnection due in Australian retailers this Friday.

The Samsung Universe Camera, demonstrated at a meeting in Sydney today, capabilities Wi-Fi and 3G on-line, new Google Android application and apps, and it will be sold through phone carriers on the $39. 95 24-month plan.

Samsung digital imaging brain Craig Gillespie said the camera was the 1st of its kind to be able to let people share photos straight away to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, even beyond Wi-Fi range.

"We are not considering this as a comeback for cameras but as an entirely new camera type, '' he said.

It also boasts a 4. 77-inch touchscreen for customers to both view the photos and use any Google android apps, from social communities to email, calendar plus the web.

"Users, when they first understand this device, they'll treat it like a camera, but when they start using apps, that's when they'll utilize it differently, '' Mr Gillespie mentioned.
