AOKP Forum Corrupted With Malware, Many Usernames and Security passwords Compromised.
Also, the Internet. It’s a entertaining and beautiful place in most cases, but sometimes, it's really a real pain inside ass. Unfortunately for our friends in the Android Open Kang Task, their forum (aokpDOTco) has dropped with an health issues, malware to always be exact, and a bunch of their user’s usernames and passwords are actually compromised. AOKP’s originator, Roman, took to Google+ to help break the bad news and also to advise people who opted that this would have been a good time to switch up your security passwords.
Fans of AOKP,
This morning we got stories of http: //aokp. corp being infected using malware. We did some investigation plus it looks like our site did receive compromised by some sort of malware.
All usernames and passwords were sacrificed.
Yes, this sucks, and I take 100% on the responsibility for just what happened. I am very sorry to every person who registered in the exact location. The silver lining on the event is of which site registrations are actually closed for many months the way it is, and we’ve been recently using RootzWiki as our main “forum. ” I will spot what I are able to do about sending a message to each of the registered users and notify them on the incident.
It looks like only the precise site (http: //aokp. co) was influenced – gerrit and the rest was untouched. I’ve taken the internet site down completely for the time being. You can still get a builds from AndroTransfer or perhaps Goo-Inside. me.
Please please you need to change your passwords and make sure to keep your email password somewhat more secure! If you used the exact same email/password combo in another place, now would really do the time to go and change it out as well.
Roman
***Note: not any, the passwords weren't stored in plaintext
AOKP has manufactured RootzWiki their homebase for a time now, but nevertheless, this is never an excellent thing to take place.
